SEAWUN is first and foremost a regional network of water supply and sanitation service providers, supported by their respective national water associations. However, the network also welcomes other stakeholders from the water sector. Therefore SEAWUN offers four different types of membership:

Member Countries
can nominate one member for the SEAWUN Board as the official representative
of the Member Country

Official Members
Public and private water supply and sanitation utilities from participating member countries

Associating Members
Sector related companies (consulting, manufacturers, suppliers and traders of water supply
and sanitation products from inside and outside Southeast Asia)

Individual Members
Individuals related to the water sector, from inside and outside Southeast Asia.
